Christian Match Counselling respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
We collect information from you when you purchase something from our Site, subscribe to a newsletter, submit a form such as a referral, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature. When ordering or making a booking, we may ask for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, card details and/or further information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. We also collect information about gift recipients so we can fulfil the gift purchase. The information we collect regarding gift recipients will not be used for marketing purposes. Credit card information, including cardholder name, card type, card number, expiry date and CV2 is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We retain limited credit card information for our records (e.g. the last four digits for validation purposes) but we do not store or retain complete credit card information. When you visit our Site, we automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address, which provides us with information about your browser and operating system.
WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION?
We will normally collect personal information from you only (i) where we need your personal information to deliver products, services or perform a contract with you, (ii) where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights; or (iii) with your consent. In some cases, we may also have a legal obligation to collect personal information from you or may otherwise need the personal information to protect your vital interests or those of another person.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
We may use the information we collect from you in the following ways:
(i) To allow us to respond to your customer needs and service requests
(ii) To process transactions promptly and efficiently
(iii) To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature
If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we may send you periodic e-mails. If you would no longer like to receive promotional email from us, please unsubscribe using the link provided at the bottom of any promotional email sent. Visitors who participate in other site features will be given a choice as to whether they would like to subscribe to our e-mail newsletter or not. If you do not opt in, you will not receive such promotional email from us. You may, however, receive relevant emails regarding our Site, products and/or other relevant updates, if you have purchased a product or service from us.
RETAINING YOUR INFORMATION
We keep records of your personal information only for as long as required according to legal requirements, including tax and accounting rules. We will retain specific information for longer to confirm your identity as a client of Christian Match Counselling. Unless specifically requested by you, referral and assessment information will be retained for a period of up to 7 years (unless required for ongoing support) and then destroyed. We may retain non-identifiable data indefinitely for statistical purposes. All information is kept securely in electronic and handwritten form.
HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?
We take reasonable precautions and follow best practice to make sure your personal information is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. We use a variety of security measures to protect your personal information. Your personal information is held behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons with special permissions and access to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases, only to be accessed as stated above.
YOUR CONSENT
By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy. When you provide us with personal information to make a referral, request a service, complete a transaction, verify a payment, place an order, arrange for a delivery/return, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason such as marketing, we will ask you directly for expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to opt out. DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required to by law or if you violate our Terms. We may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites. Third-party providers used by us will collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services provided. Third-party service providers such as payment gateways have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. SQUARESPACE
Our store is hosted by Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. COOKIES
We use cookies to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We also gather anonymous visitor traffic statistics using Google Analytics to help us better understand our site visitors. This captures and identifies activity on our site to help improve it. These cookies collect information anonymously, including the number of visitors, visitor countries, and the pages visitors have viewed. CHANGES TO OUR POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page. Policy changes will take effect immediately and apply to information collected on and after the date of the change. If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
